HOA Fees

Original Encumbrance Amount:

$600 (+GST) per year for single family homes, laned homes, and duplex homes

$450 (+GST) per year for multi family homes (condos, townhomes)

HOA fees are tied to the City of Calgary Consumer Price Index (as issued by Statistics Canada) and can be increased above the Encumbrance amount by the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) amount, also called the “Adjustment Amount.” The Adjustment Amount is applicable each calendar year after 2020.  Current rates are listed at the top of this page.  The chart below outlines CPI rates.

Annual Encumbrance Fee Timeline

April 1 – Annual Encumbrance Fees Due
Annual encumbrance fees are officially due on April 1 each year.

May 1 – 30-Day Grace Period Ends
The 30-day grace period ends on May 1. A late payment fee is applied to all outstanding accounts on the first day of each month until the account is paid in full.

Beginning of June – Final Notices Issued
Final notices are mailed to all properties with outstanding encumbrance fees. Notices are sent to the mailing address on file and, where no separate mailing address is provided, to the property address.

Beginning of July – Accounts Referred to Collections
Outstanding accounts are referred to Field Law LLP for collections. Once an account has been referred, the Rockland Park Homeowners Association is no longer able to accept payment or manage the collection process or communication directly.
