With an unwavering dedication to community engagement, customer experience, and strategic vision, Carla Nikli is excited to bring her passion to the role of General Manager at the Rockland Park Homeowners Association. Over the past decade, Carla has demonstrated her leadership as the General Manager of the Brookfield-established Residents Association in the community of New Brighton.

Carla’s extensive experience spans various leadership positions, including roles with esteemed organizations such as Disney Cruise Lines, the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, the Lake Louise Recreation Society, the Cranston Residents Association and most recently the New Brighton Residents Association. With more than 20 years of expertise in recreation management, Carla’s leadership style, innovative thinking, and proactive approach promises to set the stage for the Rockland Park Team’s success.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Carla enjoys a range of recreational activities. Whether kayaking, traveling, camping, diving into a good book, building with Lego, or casting a fishing line alongside her husband Peter, son Carter, and beloved fur-friend Daisy, Carla embraces life with enthusiasm and zest!  She also confesses to the guilty pleasures of avidly following reality TV shows and eagerly attending Calgary’s Comic Convention each year!

As the Lodge prepares to open its doors in the months that follow, Carla extends a warm invitation to all to stop by and say hello. Her genuine warmth, coupled with her commitment to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community, makes her an invaluable asset to the Rockland Park family.

With a strong commitment to community development and a passion for creating inclusive and engaging environments, Sarah Armstrong is excited to join the Rockland Park Homeowners Association as the new Lifestyle Coordinator.

 

Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and is a registered social worker with over six years of experience in various areas of the field. Her roles have spanned from community organizations to post-secondary institutions, including positions at Developmental Disabilities Resource Centre of Calgary, Precious Cargo Community Support Services, and the Students Association of Mount Royal University. At the Students Association of Mount Royal University, she managed the Pride Centre, and organized numerous, university wide, large-scale events, programs, and workshops. It is here that she discovered her love of community engagement and event management. She has also volunteered at a variety of different community organizations over the years, including Drumheller Family Literacy, Golden Prairie Parent Link, Sagesse, and more recently, The BeYOUtiful Foundation. 

 

Sarah’s approach is centered on understanding the community’s needs and leveraging its strengths. She stands for creating diverse and high-quality programming, maintaining open and effective communication, and fostering an inclusive environment where every resident feels valued. 

 

Outside of her professional life, Sarah enjoys yoga, painting, and spending time in nature, particularly in her vegetable garden. Her personal life is enriched by her fiancé, Mat, and their dwarf rabbit, Hobbes. Sarah also plays the piano, is a trained singer, and once upon a time, played the trombone. Hailing from Drumheller, Alberta, Sarah moved to Calgary for her education, and stayed for the breathtaking Rocky Mountain views. 

 

Sarah Armstrong’s dedication to community engagement and innovative thinking makes her a positive addition to the Rockland Park team. She looks forward to meeting residents and creating memorable experiences for everyone. 

Steve spent 20 years working his way up the ladder at Zellers, where he developed a strong work ethic through dedication and long hours. His commitment to taking on challenging tasks with energetic enthusiasm enabled him to foster a workforce that leads by example, with a focus on how their actions improve the quality of their working lives.

For the past nine years, Steve has served as the Maintenance Manager for the Rocky Ridge Homeowners Association, bringing a wealth of experience to his role with the Rockland Park HOA. He is always striving to create and improve more efficient work processes, using his intuitive nature to foresee problems and develop solutions before they become issues.

With years of problem-solving experience, Steve has honed his ability to build and implement proactive solutions whenever a need arises. His lifelong passion for hockey has instilled in him a strong team mentality, which is evident in the support he shows for his family and friends. Steve’s love for his family is clear in the way he is always there to support those who matter most to him.
